ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Alex and I love being an SLP.

I stumbled upon the career by accident when I picked up a textbook for my freshman roommate's "Introduction to Communication Disorders" class. The rest, as they say, was history.

I graduated from the University of Connecticut with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and Communication Disorders in 2013 and an M.A. in Speech Language Pathology in 2015. Throughout my career, I have worked in elementary and middle schools, sensory gyms, daycares and homes. I am licensed in both New Jersey and New York, hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American-Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and have completed PROMPT training (Level 1) for the treatment of motor speech disorders.

When I'm not working, I enjoy reading the latest book for my book club, baking, fitness classes and traveling the world with my husband.
