My wife and I are first time parents to a sweet, but extremely shy and stubborn little girl named Lily. Developmentally she’s been a few months behind her peers in most regards, and while we were never seriously concerned, we knew we could use some help moving Lily along.

Enter Ms. Alex, and what a blessing she was! Her warmth and positivity put us at ease almost instantly, it was like having a friend in the house with us. Lily, who barely gives her own Grandma the time of day, developed a rapport with Alex during their first session, and it never wavered throughout all their time together. In fact, one of Lily’s first sentences was, “I wanna see Alex.”

Her interactions with Lily aside, my wife and I found Alex extremely easy to work with. She was extremely responsive via email, always did her best to accommodate a change in schedule, and gave us very detailed notes on how best to encourage Lily between sessions.

At the end of Lily’s “graduation” session, despite being so proud of our little girl, we couldn’t help but feel the moment was bittersweet. We knew Lily was going to be losing a friend, someone she looked forward to seeing every week.
